Barcelona Set to Play Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
