Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital at the time.
This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical fault.
