The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut

Young golfer getting ready for significant competition

The rising star maintains considerable social media audience

The young golfer will have plenty of prominent cheerleaders when she begins her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.

The former president, someone who loves golf, operates multiple international courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she revealed.

She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He basically told me to compete and relax," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's quite busy."

As an amateur, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

Yet she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.

"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He told me to compete, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against some of the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, particularly among the next generation.

Kai maintains substantial online presence and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle label.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
